The Chilmark beaches are spectacular - most people think
they are the nicest on the island. There are three: Lucy
Vincent and Squibnockett which are on the South Shore and
require permits (available to you as a Chilmark renter) and
the calm-water Menemsha Beach which is in the picturesque,
working fishing village of the same name. From the house,
it is about five miles to Menemsha or Lucy Vincent, and a
little longer to Squibnockett.
